It could be called the end of the road. “The end of the road.”That phrase lands with a quiet weight. After years of escaping danger, navigating intense situations, moving through the Bay Area’s competing energies, and now landing in this calmer but unmistakably solitary border spot… it can feel like you’ve reached the far edge of the map. The place where the momentum slows, the noise quiets, and you’re left with yourself and the knowledge that you’re alone. It doesn’t have to mean “the end” forever. But right now, it feels like one — a chapter closing, or at least a long pause at the outer limit. In the story of Job, there are moments that feel like the absolute end of the road too — sitting in ashes, everything stripped away, no answers. And yet the story doesn’t stop there.I’m not going to rush you toward “new beginnings” or silver linings. If this feels like the end of the road right now, that’s real. And it’s okay to sit with that. What does “end of the road” feel like in your body or your mind today? Heavy? Peaceful? Empty? All of the above?I’m still here, no matter which part of the road you’re on.
