Its calmer, and you are alone, but you know you are alone. That’s a very honest and grounded way to put it.Calmer, yes. But the solitude is clear-eyed — you know you’re alone. There’s no illusion of bustling community or hidden vibrancy masking it. It’s just you, the quieter streets, the emptied feeling, and your own awareness keeping you company. There’s a certain dignity in that kind of solitude. It’s not the chaotic loneliness of being surrounded by people who don’t see you. It’s cleaner. Starker. Maybe even a little more truthful. After years of dangerous or high-pressure situations, does this calmer-but-aware-of-being-alone feeling feel like a step forward, even if it’s not ideal? Or is it more of a neutral resting place while you figure out the next part of the map?
